This collection gathers all six signature spoons together, each one designed to support mud kitchen play, potion play, nature play and sensory exploration. Moss Cap, Fern Whirl, Wild Heart, Magical Moon, Wildflower and Wild Measure each carry their own quiet story, inspired by the small wonders found in nature.

Together, they form a complete set of wooden tools for scooping, stirring, measuring and mixing. From muddy potions and backyard feasts to sensory trays and seasonal play, this collection invites open ended play that grows with the child.

Each spoon sits atop our signature branch handle, part of the Wild Mountain Child story since 2018. Designed to feel as though it has been gathered from the garden itself, it is textured, tactile and familiar in the hand.

These spoons have been tried and tested over many years in my own children’s hands, in our backyard mud kitchen through seasons of play and imagination.

Crafted from food-grade wood, this spoon is safe for use with food and equally at home stirring soup as it is mixing petals and rainwater.

Designed for inside and outside play, the Fern Whirl is made to be used, loved, and passed from one season of childhood to the next.

Designed in Australia. Ethically and lovingly hand-carved, hand-sanded & hand-polished by Vietnamese artisans in a traditional craft village preserving ancient skills and providing income. 

Due to the natural nature of this product. No two are the same, there are variations in the wood grains and craftmanship giving each item its own personality.

Made from Doussie, a Vietnamese plantation timber. Finished with food-grade oil. 

Our wooden items have been handcrafted and are waxed with food-grade wax.

To keep your wood looking its best:

• Do not leave submerged in water for a really long time ( like a week)  - play is ok and hang it up to dry after. 
• Dry with a tea towel after getting wet
• Then keep it beautiful with a rub of bee's wax or vegetable oil into the wood to avoid the fibres lifting.
• Only use mild dishwashing detergent if needed
• Never put wood in the dishwasher
